A tiny reserve that is looked after for it's flowering plants and insect community.  The beautiful ragged robin, devils bit scabious, marsh violet and marsh cinquefoil are some of the plants you'll encounter here along with plenty of scrub.

The ponds and ditches provide important habitat for dragonflies and damselflies as well as palmate and smooth newts.  Butterflies include the orange-tip, ringlet, meadow brown and the common blue.

Hedgerow birds love the scrub and the great tit, dunnock, wren, blue tit and blackbird are all regular visitors.  Common snipe and reed bunting have occassionally been recorded with the tawny and barn owl heard regularly by the villagers.
