Riverflies are invertebrates that spend most of their life cycle in rivers, streams, ponds, or lakes. They are vital components of freshwater ecosystems and play a crucial role in the aquatic food chain. Riverflies include three main groups: mayflies (Ephemeroptera), caddisflies (Trichoptera), and stoneflies (Plecoptera).

Get certified to survey riverflies so that you can help us monitor our rivers health. Learn to identify freshwater species and complete river surveys.

Refreshments will be provided but please bring your own pack lunches. Outdoor waterproofs needed as much of the day will be spent outside. If you have your own waders, then please bring them along.

Spaces are limited so make sure to book your space as soon as possible.
