Our 2022- 2030 Strategy lays out what RWT believe should be the strategic focus for our vice-County to ensure we achieve our vision to ensure our work and influence is increasing the abundance and diversity of wildlife, inspiring people to act for nature and helping to reduce the impact of climate change.

To save the wildlife and tackling climate change, we need more than just shovels and rakes, we need pen and paper, spray cans - we need creativity and imagination.
In 2021 we launched the Wild Ideas workshops as our way of engaging with young people about the ecological and climate emergency in a creative way.

The Wilder Communities project focuses on empowering communities to take action for nature. Through work with community groups, charities and local people, we can provide support and advise on the best ways to manage land for the benefit of biodiversity and increase the nature network throughout the county. We can give opportunities for local people to learn and gain training on the techniques to monitor wildlife so that they can gain confidence in conservation techniques and witness the positive affects of the steps that they are making. This project is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and the Ashley Family Foundation.

Our part-time trainee scheme enables people with no previous experience or qualifications to join our team and our volunteers, to develop hands-on practical experience, campaigning and digital communication experience, and vital professional skills to help take that first step to a career in conservation. Please be aware that this is a voluntary role.
