Wilder Pentwyn is a project funded for two years by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, thanks to National Lottery players. The project aims to protect, restore and share natural heritage knowledge at Pentwyn Farm.

The Wilder Communities project focuses on empowering communities to take action for nature. Through work with community groups, charities and local people, we can provide support and advise on the best ways to manage land for the benefit of biodiversity and increase the nature network throughout the county. We can give opportunities for local people to learn and gain training on the techniques to monitor wildlife so that they can gain confidence in conservation techniques and witness the positive affects of the steps that they are making. This project is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and the Ashley Family Foundation.

Conservation is a competitive field, and it can be hard to show that you have the experience needed to land your first job. If you have a real desire to work in this rewarding and satisfying field, but need to boost your skills and experience, a volunteer Communities Trainee position with RWT may be the perfect role for you.
