About the reserve

This new reserve is 2 and a half kilometres and part of a belt of ancient semi-natural woodland extending to over 50 hectares. Located in west Radnorshire, close to our existing Cefn Cenarth reserve, this is a truly special landscape of long-established woodland that we are proud to be protecting for future generations.

This generous gift comes from the Cadbury family, whose support has been invaluable for wildlife conservation in this area. They previously enabled us to purchase the three sites that now together make up the Cefn Cenarth reserve.

We are currently working to prepare the site for visitors, with necessary improvements to access and fencing planned for the coming months. We look forward to sharing more details, including the exact location, once the site is ready to welcome the public.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the Oakdale Trust for their continued support, which remains vital to our work across the region.
