Iolo Williams

Patron of Radnorshire Wildlife Trust since 2009

Iolo Williams

Iolo Williams is a Welsh naturalist, TV and radio presenter, author, inspiring public speaker, and wildlife tour guide. Having grown up near Lake Vyrnwy, an area thriving with wildlife, he says “it’s no surprise that I ended up making a career with wildlife.”

His support

In 2009, Iolo accepted the invitation to become Radnorshire Wildlife Trust's Patron.

Iolo has been an active supporter of our work here at Radnorshire Wildlife Trust for some time. Trust members have met him at events, for despite his many commitments, he has always made an effort to help us whenever we have asked. We were very grateful when he accepted the position of Patron.

What is a Patron?

The role of Patron is to help promote the Trust, to give encouragement to its work and to enhance its public image.

I’ve always admired the RWT because as a small conservation organisation, it punches well above its weight. The recent acquisition of Pentwyn Farm as well as everything that has been achieved at Gilfach are a clear indicator of this. Radnorshire is a spectacular county; I’m so pleased that the knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff at RWT are fighting for its wildlife.
