About the reserve

Tucked between Painscastle and Rhosgoch, lies a species-rich wildflower meadow. This vital pollinator habitat sits beside Raddle Brook that feeds the Bachawy, a tributary of the River Wye. We're calling it Rhosgoch meadow for now, but we hope to give it a new name in time, chosen together with the local community once the land is officially ours. We were able to acquire this meadow as a generous gift and we raised money through the Big Give appeal to be able to have the funds to maintain the meadow and turn it into a nature reserve for all to enjoy.
