You will work across a variety of RWT’s 18 nature reserves throughout the vice-county and spend time with each of our project officers to gain insight into project management and the different approaches used to support nature’s recovery.

This internship role is specifically funded for young people and is therefore restricted to applicants at the start of their career. No prior professional experience is required, as full on-the-job training will be provided. We are seeking a self-motivated individual with strong communication skills and a passion for conservation and the natural environment.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

• Undertake and support practical habitat restoration and management interventions
• Breathe life into Gilfach’s Visitor Centre by engaging with the public, supporting membership growth and thinking creatively about the space, how to improve the visitor experience & engaging events / activities
• Organising presentations, workshops and events where you will act as a representative of RWT
• Working with a range of landowners, land managers and colleagues to identify the best locations and types of habitat creation and management to help nature’s recovery
• Shadow, and eventually lead a volunteer group working on RWT’s reserves
