We are super excited to announce our first Ambassador...

Ben Porter

Ben Porter is an ecologist, researcher and award-winning wildlife photographer from the windswept island of Ynys Enlli off North Wales; a place which ignited his passion for the natural world and fostered a desire to launch into a career in conservation. Since graduating with a degree in Conservation Biology from the University of Exeter in 2018, Ben has spent his time working on projects ranging from ecological restoration in Wales to seabird research work on offshore islands, wildlife surveying, freelance photography and guiding.

He is particularly passionate about science communication and engaging others with the natural world; elements which are critical to catalyse the collective action needed to address the pressing challenges currently facing our natural world. Ben is currently developing a research project with Cardiff University to investigate the effects of offshore developments on seabirds in the north-east Atlantic, which would focus on the wonderful European Storm-petrel - a species we are lucky to have nesting along Welsh coasts but still know very little about!
