About the event

Join Ray Woods, county recorder for Lichen, as he invites you into the complex world of fungi. See how it interacts with other organisms and underpins our natural world. 

Our world has fungi everywhere you look, from the familiar mushrooms to the symbiotic partnerships of fungi and algae, lichens, that colour the landscape of Wales.

You don't need to be an expert to attend. Please make sure to wear sturdy boots as some of the terrain we will be walking on is uneven, steep and wet.

Spaces for this walk will be limited to 15 people, please book in advance to guarantee a spot. Some spaces may be available on the day if all spots have not been filled, please contact in advance to register interest if this is the case.
