An Invite to No. 10 Downing Street

The commitment of more than 40 volunteers of The Wildlfie Trusts has been celebrated at Downing Street. Prime Minister Rt Hn Gordon Brown held a reception in the garden at Number 10 to thank volunteers involved in practical land and marine conservation work.

Ann Harvey, who regularily volunteers for Radnorshire Wildlife Trust, attended the reception. Ann plays a key part in the conservation work, helping with the annual bracken maanagement on the Gilfach Farm Nature Reserve, as well as laying board walks on some of the other reserves, namely Burfa Bog near Presteigne.


Julian Jones, RWT Manager said "We are thrilled this particular group of committed people has been recognised by the Prime Minister. They give their time so readily and deliver real environmental benefits to local communities throughout the UK. We at The Wildlife Trusts, are very proud of our army of volunteers, who care for and improve local wild places."
