Are you WILD enough?

January 2009

Radnorshire Wildlife Trust attended the first Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship (ESDGC) Eco Council Rally, which was held at the Royal Welsh Show Ground recently. Twenty-two schools and all three Powys Wildlife Trust's shared ideas through workshops and talks. Welsh Liberal Democrat Leader and AM for Brecon & Radnor, Kirsty Williams opened the proceedings and Phil Williams gave the main address.

All three Powys Wildlife Trusts looked after the Wildlife Trust stand.  Pictured above from left to right are; Brecknockshire's Education Officer, Alexa Farley, Radnorshire's People & Wildlife Officer, Suzie Fraser and Montgomeryshire's Education Officer, Katie Gee. They were showing how school grounds could be enhanced to help provide different habitats for our wildlife, posing the question "Are you Wild enough?" whilst wearing fabulous wildlife inspired hats made by Suzie Fraser. The Wildlife Trust promotes protecting wildlife for the future.
