Coming up in 2012...

Half term Thurs 16th Feb 2-4pm - wildplay for families in Pantydwr Hall (last time before it gets knocked down!)

The big Upper Wye Clean-Up - Thanks to everyone who has given permission for us to litter pick or done their stretch of the Marteg themselves. We've been helping the Wye and Usk Foundation and Tidy Towns Wales on their Upper Wye Clean Up - 45 bags worth and 47hours of volunteer work to date. The worst bit had silage wrap and string wrapped around trees and we collected 11 bags from there. But most of the river was pretty good!

Visit to Bwlch Cefn Llian on Sat Apr 28th at 8am  - a generously late dawn chorus walk with Julian Lovell and bring your wellies if you'd like to come and see what the digging and blocking works have created on this Forestry Commission site.

Surveying for lamprey, bullheads,  water voles and other river creatures - over the summer months

Hitting the Himalayan balsam - moving out of the Marteg catchment, we'll be gathering some volunteers to pull and bash at this invasive non-native plant invading the Wye and Ithon rivers.

September 8th/9th - celebrating wetlands with the Wildlife Trusts across the country. Based at Gilfach and Cwm Marteg.
