People make a difference to wildlife and wildlife makes a difference to people.

Mae'n ddrwg gennym, ond nid yw hyn sydd ar gael yn cymraeg ar hyn o bryd.

There is evidence to show that by regularly experiencing nature, people can live happier, healthier lives. So part of our work is to let people of all ages be inspired by our wealth of wildlife here in Radnorshire.

Gilfach Nature Reserve

The Gilfach Nature Reserve and Discovery Centre is a key environmental education resource of the Radnorshire Wildlife Trust (RWT).

Many groups visit throughout the year, from walkers on the Wye Valley Walk who just pass through, to holiday makers who stay for a picnic or take part in a family fun event, to educational theme days and environmental field trips.

WildPlay creates playful opportunities for children to explore nature outdoors.

Suzie Fraser works closely with WildPlay inspiring children of all ages with the wonders of exploring, playing in and learning about the great outdoors and the wildlife found there.

Suzie is also involved with the Outdoor Learning Wales Group which has been set up in the Radnorshire and Mid Wales area to create outdoor classrooms.

Suzie Fraser uses her WildPlay skills when working with pre-school toddlers.

Storytelling is a keyskill which Suzie uses in her work.  "Fishy Tales" involved reading and fish printing to tell the salmon's epic journey from sea to source.

The children are encouraged to explore and investigate.

Suzie works with the Cylch Ti a Fi (baby & toddler) and Cylch Meithrin (nursery age) Groups in the Rhayader and Llandrindod Wells areas.

Suzie has worked with all of the schools in Radnorshire.

Developed by Suzie, 'The RWT Big Habitat Hunt & Quiz' aims at keeping the children engaged throughout the school year looking after wildlife around their school grounds.

Suzie often has activities arranged for families at Gilfach Nature Reserve for the school half-term weeks.
