Swift Evening Walk
About the event
The swift is a beautiful and lightning fast Summer visitor to the UK, whose numbers have sadly been declining in recent years. While once they nested mainly in trees and cliffs, today they almost entirely rely on our buildings for their nesting sites.
Join us as we take a walk around Llandrindod Wells in search of these urban settlers, and see if you can identify their nest sites hidden amongst the buildings!
We will meet outside the Post Office at 7pm, then walk from there. It will be easy walking on pavement, so no sturdy footwear required. Bring binoculars if you have them!
This is a Green Connections Project. Thank you to the Welsh Ornithological Society that have contributed to the funding.
PriceFree, but donations welcome.
